FROM OPTION TO TICKET SALES: Adventures in Micro-Budget Filmmaking

Producer, Linda Palmer, compiles her book with her Producers Blog from the film, "The Wedding Video", and additional commentary after the fact. The stories begin with the optioning of the script, and tells the tale of getting the movie into its theatrical release.

Lots of pictures and gratitude surround interesting moments in indie filmmaking. Although it's definitely not the type of project her Runaway Productions banner takes on, with its thirty plus locations, 150 roles and over fifty speaking parts, the project has turned into a franchise. With a second film in the scripting phase, a distribution deal in the works, and a completely out-of-the-box marketing campaign scheduled for 2011, Palmer's got her hands full."Once this film is out in the market, there is an additional book installment coming regarding the promotion of the film, titled, "From DVD to Market." states Palmer. To view the first fifteen pages of the book, go to the following link where you can also order a copy:

Along with her authoring, she is currently writing another feature she will helm this coming year along with her directorial debut of "Last Call At Murray's".
