Producer Linda Palmer recently optioned, writer Linda Fausnet's feature screenplay, RAIN ON THE WATER. Fausnet will also take on a co-producer role in the project with Palmer. The family film is a coming of age story of two girls who discover a mysterious cave that grants their wishes, but they soon become concerned when they receive strange messages on the cave wall asking for help."The project is different then most I choose, but I was drawn to it having a daughter and niece the same age. It's a great coming of age story of friendship and exploration and the link to native American culture was very intriguing to me, " states Palmer.
Palmer frequently partners with writers who want to help make their vision a reality. "I can't do everything as a freelance producer so I need to rely on my creative partners to help bring all the elements together. If I feel a connection to a writer and know they have the ability to help bring a project to fruition, I'm much more drawn to work with them. I believe in people who believe in themselves. It's a constant circle of inspiration. Linda definitely fits that criteria." quotes Palmer.
